III International Conference ‘Chess in Education’
Dear participants and guests of the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship!
We invite you to the III International Conference ‘Chess in Education’, which will be held on 27–28 of September in Almaty, Satbayev University. Registration is free.
The conference will feature presentations by prominent figures in the chess world:
• Xie Jun (China) — two-time Women’s World Champion, President of the Chinese Chess Federation. She will talk about how chess is integrated into the education system of the world’s largest country and how it influences the training of champions.
• Darmen Sadvakassov (Kazakhstan) — grandmaster, Asian champion (2003), first vice-president of the KCF. His presentation will focus on the development of chess in Kazakhstan and the role of schools in training new grandmasters.
• Gulmira Dauletova (Kazakhstan) — International Master among women, multiple champion of Kazakhstan, current player of the national team. She will share her experience as an athlete and teacher.
• Leontxo Garcia (Spain) — FIDE Master, one of the world’s most famous chess journalists. He will give a lecture on how chess changes children’s thinking and the culture of education.
• Ingrid Lauterbach (Germany) — President of the German Chess Federation. Her presentation will be useful to delegates, as Germany is an example of a country where chess is actively being introduced into schools at a systemic level.
• Fethi Apaydin (Turkey) — President of the Turkish Chess Federation. He will talk about the Turkish model of promoting chess among schoolchildren.
• Abduzhala Aripov (Uzbekistan) — representative of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation. Uzbekistan is a country that has become one of the strongest chess powers in recent years, and his experience will be of particular interest to delegates.
• Jerry Nash (USA) — Chairman of FIDE EDU, consultant on chess in education in the USA. He will present an international perspective on the educational potential of chess and modern methods of teaching it.

III Международная конференция «Шахматы в образовании»
27–28 сентября 2025 года в Алматы пройдёт одно из ключевых событий в сфере образования.
На конференции соберутся международные и казахстанские эксперты, педагоги, а также представители шахматного сообщества, чтобы обсудить опыт внедрения шахмат в систему образования, обменяться лучшими практиками и взглядами на будущее.
Формат включает пленарные заседания, панельные дискуссии, мастер-классы, презентации исследований и выставку.
Все мероприятия будут доступны на английском, казахском и русском языках с синхронным переводом.
