1st Gazi Open International Chess Tournament
1st Gazi Open International Chess Tournament, organized in cooperation with our Federation and the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality.
Taking place from August 31 to September 6, 2026, at the Gaziantep Kamil Ocak Indoor Sports Hall, the tournament will bring together accomplished chess players from Turkey and around the world.
Masters and rising young talents alike will compete to become winners amid Gaziantep’s unique atmosphere—a city renowned for its thousands of years of history, unparalleled cultural heritage, world-famous cuisine, and warm hospitality.
Applications for players wishing to take part opened on July 7, 2026, at 12:30 PM, and registration will close on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
A total of 1,500,000 TL in cash prizes will be awarded to prizewinners across all categories.
